As of March, 2024 The Cascadia Seed Guild have joined with The Agrarian Sharing Network (ASN) to help steward the Agrarian Sharing Network’s Seed Increase Initiative, throughout the Pacific Northwest; indeed throughout The Cascadia Bioregion.

ASN started 10 years ago in Eugene, OR as a seed-swap, as time passed they added the propagation of perennial food crops, fruit-berries etc, at regional centres. These Propagation Fairs, held typically in March and April follow scion and cutting gatherings over January and February, each year. At the Propagation Fairs scion etc is organized and laid out on tables and all this scion is free. There is the option to buy rootstock and also grafting services on-site. We see this as an invaluable resource for our communities and would like to see it spread further throughout our Bioregion. @inspiration might Inspiration Farms be interested in this?

Currently we are around half way through the ASN Propagation fairs for 2024, hence the photographs shared here. A few days ago ASN was approached by a Widower of a Lady prominent in #Permaculture who had recently passed on. She had amassed a collection of seeds over several years and expressed that they be passed down to others, so that their lineage could continue. We are currently stewarding these seeds so that they can be catalogued. The photograph here shoes the collection and we are currently about half-way through the smaller box after around 8 hours of work.
