Regenerate Cascadia Weekly: Updates from October 17th to October 24th, 2024.

Hello everyone! Each week, we gather informally to share some of the key discussions, meetings, updates and conversations Regenerate Cascadia has been having. This isn’t everything we’re working on, but there’s SO MUCH happening! We want to take a moment to update you on the incredible diversity and excitement building around this idea. Thanks for taking the time to check in, read or watch!

  • Critical Path walk-through update: Brandon and Clare gave a quick walkthrough of their Miro board and talked about their collaboration with Taya Seidler, a core development consultant, and the development of a critical path for their program. Brandon presented a visual representation of the critical path, which includes landscape hubs, bioregional regeneration teams, local landscapes, and a community of practice. They also discussed the development of a mentorship network and the importance of budgeting and timelines. Clare emphasized the complexity of the project and the need for a structured approach to manage it effectively. You can learn more about Taya on her website, Process Power: https://process-power.com/
  • Community Invitations: Brandon discussed the progress on the website, focusing on the idea of a community invitation for landscape regeneration. He explained the process, which includes a presentation and a co-facilitated community discussion.
  • Meeting with Colin Smith & Neil Davidson: Clare gave an update on a meeting with Colin Smith and Neil Davidson from the Design School for Regenerating Earth discussing the potential for community groups to connect with each other.

The feedback from the event highlighted the need for a better context setting, as some attendees were expecting action items rather than a focus on developing perspectives. The group also expressed interest in working with Regenerate Cascadia.
